Nicolas Longuechaud
After fine art studies in university and a selfmade learning of juggling, Nicolas folows his formation in Académie Fratellini, superior school of circus, where he graduates in summer 2011.
Object manipulator, curious about shapes, kinetic properties and optical effects he creates his own juggling language in relationship to his fine art look. He particulary focuses into making sweat the possible manipulations generated by the object.
During his formation he grabs all the element that could extend his language and works with many circus, dance or theatre companies. His collaboration with the juggling research laboratory group (GRAAF) directed by Denis Paumier (Les Objets Volants company), juggling teacher in fratellini , leads to a silver medal and City of Paris award during 33rd Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain for «Dropline».
In 2012 he works on Kazuyoshi Kushida’s K-Faust in Tokyo and Matsumoto.
Thanks to all this experiences, he decides to build his very own show « Opticirque» , performed it in many Festivals such as Aurillac, Les Zaccros d’ma rue, Teatro y artes de Calle Valladolid, Festiv’artère public, and won «Au bonheur des Mômes» jury award 2013. He received audience award in Paris 04 vents festival.
